The bugle of a bull elk splits the cold mountain air while the aspen leaves gently dance in the wind and you’re in perfect rhythm with the footfalls of our mountain horse. This is elk hunting with Mountain Ivory Adventures. While you can expect a modern camp and professionally prepared meals, the hunt itself hasn’t changed much since the outfit began over 100 years ago.

Guests choose us for guided archery and rifle elk hunts to experience the wilderness, pursue game in the Bridger-Teton National Forest (Elk Unit 81), and hunt like explorers and mountain men have done for centuries before us.

With one tag per year in our unit, we understand the importance of a successful hunt and are proud of our 100% success rate on moose hunts. Designed as a 7 day hunt, you'll have a 1:1 guide:hunter ratio and we'll hunt until you harvest (within season dates).

Bighorn Sheep Hunting

We're excited to offer Big Horn Sheep hunts in Unit 7. These hunts will be led by one of our experienced guides with over 30 years of experience guiding Big Horn sheep hunters in western Wyoming, including Unit 7. We recognize this is a once-in-a-lifetime tag for many of our hunters and you'll travel via horseback, operating from spike camps, deep into remote wilderness, where you'll pursue trophy Big Horn Sheep.
