Wyoming Preference Point & Tag Application Assistance
Mountain Ivory Adventures will gladly assist with the purchase of preference points and the application process upon request. We strive to be a full-service operation and recognize that it can sometimes be difficult to navigate the process independently. Non-resident and resident hunters can apply for preference points in Wyoming from July 1st - October 31st for the next calendar year, and apply for the draw (application dates listed below), through the Wyoming Game & Fish website.
Application period for non-resident hunters starts January 2nd and closes on January 31st, 2026.

How the WY Preference Point & Tag System Works
Non-residents have the option of purchasing one preference point per species each year and accumulating points until the preferred time of use and of license application. There is no limit to the amount of points one can accumulate; however, two consecutive years without a point purchase negate all previously purchased points.
For more information on the WY Draw Process, we invite you to check out a helpful article published by WY Game & Fish in 2024 which can be found here. Our team at Mountain Ivory Adventures is also more than happy to hop on the phone and walk through the process with you.
