Application with the Wyoming
Mountain Ivory Adventures will gladly assist with the purchase of preference points and the application process upon request. We strive to be a full-service operation and recognize it can sometimes be difficult to navigate the process independently. Nonresident and resident hunters can apply for preference points in Wyoming July 1st - October 31st for the next calendar year, and apply for the draw (application dates listed below), through the Wyoming Game & Fish website.

How it Works
NONRESIDENT HUNTERS
Nonresidents have the option of purchasing one point each year and to accumulate points until the preferred time of use and of license application. There is no limit to the amount of points one can accumulate; however, two-consecutive years without a point purchase negate all previously purchased points.
For the application process, which opens in January for each species, guests wishing to hunt with us should select "W" - the western region, which is a general tag and allows us to hunt across all of our permitted units (totally about 1 million acres). There is no need to select a specific numerical unit as the "W" general tag covers our units.
NONRESIDENT & RESIDENT HUNTERS
Nonresidents and resident can both option preference points by applying for the Wyoming license of their choice: if the application for the first license is unsuccessful, but the application for the second license is successful, then the applicant qualifies for the second license and one preference point.
